An elderly woman has backed her silver Ford Crown Victoria into a light pole in front of the Cactus Hotel yesterday in Texas.

The cause of the crash was explained by SAPD stating that she was pressing on the accelerator mistaking it the brake, and when the car wouldn’t stop, she continued to press the accelerator ultimately sending her into the light pole.

The woman reported a minor scrape to her head but is likely to make a full recovery.
