Five people died and 10 others injured when a truck transporting onions flipped over on a highway in the northern Mexican state of Zacatecas, this past Wednesday.
According to media reports, the accident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the city of Loreto, where the truck flipped over and hit the side of the Matias Ramos Santos education school.
“The truck’s occupants are the fatalities, and there were 10 others injured,” Zacatecas emergency management office spokesman Alberto Torres told reporters.
Some of the people hurt in the accident have serious injuries and are being treated at area hospitals.
The accident was said to have been caused by brake failure.
