Van’s Brakes Fail, Crashes Into Construction Zone

According to reports, a van rolled into the parking garage of a construction site for an apartment building in West Virginia on Friday afternoon.

Morgantown Police Captain Kevin Clark said the Ford Van was parked on a nearby street and the owner of the vehicle had not engaged the brakes. The vehicle proceeded to then rolled down the street, striking the entrance of the parking garage.

Clark said the accident happened at about 1:30 p.m and luckily for this careless driver, damage to the vehicle and the building were minimal.

The names of those involved have yet to be released. Clark said the van’s driver and property manager did in fact exchange insurance information at the scene.

In related news, a photographer, covering the incident, was shoved by an individual associated with the property while trying to take a picture of the crash. A battery report has been filed with Morgantown Police.
