Truck Brake Failure Kills Two Teens In Awful Crash

Two California teens were stripped of their lives yesterday after a dump truck carrying tons of cement went out of control and knocked their PT cruiser off of the highway. The LA Times confirms that several others were injured in the major accident this Thursday, June 26, and the San Bernardino County community is already mourning the loss of the much-loved young adults.

Police reports suggest the dump truck had brake issues, which partly led to the crash. The report also noted that both teens died at the scene of the crash after their car slid off the highway, and struck an embankment not too far ahead.

Dozens of people have showed up at their local high school to pay respects to the young adults. The school community, in addition to family and friends, were devastated at the merciless loss of the young teens taken by the freak truck crash. Students were said to be clinging to one another in support. The other three passengers in the car all suffered minor injuries, and are expected to make a full recovery.

So far there is no report on the state of the truck driver or any pending criminal charges.
