Lowell, Mass- According to an extremely vague news report by Boston News Center 5, a recycling truck experienced brake failure last Tuesday and resulted in a heroic act by one police officer.
The report stated that the recycling truck struck a phone pole, and was continuing on down the street on a path of destruction. A police officer who got to the scene just in time noticed the driver of the truck had been ejected from the cabin and flung out on to the road. The officers quick thinking lead him to heroically jump in front of the still rolling truck and saved the man just in the nick of time.
The truck then struck the police cruiser resulting in the truck finally coming to a stop.
There were no serious injuries reported.
