One Man Injured After Brake Failure In Michigan

According to sources, one man was injured after the brakes on the Chevy Caprice he was driving allegedly failed and his vehicle careened across a local road and into a ditch.

Police were called around 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10 for a vehicle that had gone off the embankment of the highway and fallen onto the roadway below.

Officers at the scene soon discovered the brakes on the white Caprice had failed after the driver exited the interstate. The vehicle failed to stop and continued over all four lanes and finally came to a stop just past an entrance ramp to northbound I-475.

STAT EMS responded to the scene for the driver, who suffered minor injuries and complained of injuries to his neck and back. The entrance ramp was shut for at least 30 minutes as a tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene.
