A Colorado woke up this morning knowing that she is lucky to be alive.
While driving on Colorado’s 115 highway yesterday afternoon during a thunderstorm, the unthinkable occurred to one unfortunate motorist.
Somehow, a bolt of lightning found it’s way to her car, striking it down the middle, ultimately causing all the side and front air bags to deploy, except the driver’s side front air bag. All the car’s electrical systems also failed, including the brakes.
Fortunately, the driver was able to control her car and avert a potentially lethal incident.
The woman’s injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to a firefighter at the scene. A passenger was also in the car and was uninjured.
