Arun Jadhav, senior Private Investigator of Goregaon police station was available for comment after the arrest, stating: “The tanker, which was on its way from Malad to Oshiwara, suddenly lost control and rammed into a parked Chevrolet car and hit four pedestrians and a person on a bicycle. The tanker then went on to the footpath, dashed into a signage-making store and came to a halt.”

Jadhav concluded by mentioning the accused will be tested for blood alcohol levels, and the tankers brakes will be thoroughly checked for abnormalities.
