One thing to take into consideration when deciding on when to get your brakes fixed is the physical appearance of the brake pad. One key item to look for is any kind of blemish or crack within the pad, and then assess how severe the damage is. Almost 100% of the time a cracked brake pad means bad news. Although your brake pad may seem to be “functioning properly”, that doesn’t always guarantee that their aren’t any internal issues within the brake pad that could possibly emerge later on.

It is always intelligent to regularly inspect you brakes for any kind of crack whatsoever, to ensure the maximum amount of safety for you and the people that surround you.
