Bystanders stood in disbelief in Nigeria yesterday after a school bus experienced brake failure and killed a child. The driver was said to be decending one of Nigeria’s biggest hills when the bus’ brakes went out, causing the driver to swerve and strike three children playing outside their home.

According to reports, only one of the children was killed immediately upon impact and the other two were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. They are reported to be in critical condition.

The caretaker of the scene of the accident was interviewed following the crash and stated “I can’t understand why this has to happen to us’’.
