Weston Pearyer,resident of Plainfield, N.J., was headed east along Route 22 in Pennyslvania on Friday when his box truck’s brakes failed, causing him to run through a cherry-red light at the Route 621 intersection, township police said.
The truck smashed into a 2011 Buick Enclave driven by 46-year-old Frenchtown native Tracy Gleitman. Gleitman was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Pearyer was issued summonses for careless driving and failing to stop at a red light, and also his truck was impounded so it could be inspected by a team from the New Jersey State Police.
