Texas State Troopers say a brake failure led to an accident that injured two adults and two children on Tuesday afternoon, including a pregnant woman and a 6 year old.
It happened just before 4 p.m. at intersection just off a local interstate.
Local news reports state a pickup driver was headed west when he experienced a brake malfunction. When he realized he couldn’t stop, he tried to accelerate to beat a car traveling next to him.
The car t-boned the right rear end of the pickup, causing the truck to spin and roll over.
One adult, a pregnant woman, and two children, nine and six years old, were all taken to Covenant Hospital. All are said to be in stable condition, although they say the six year old had the most serious injuries.
