Nissan has just recently issued a partial recall on select models of the 2013 Titan and Armada. The cause of the recall has been linked with brake safety discrepancies that may result in a crash.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Nissan is limiting the vehicles being recalled to strictly ones that have been produced between February 22, 2013 and May 3, 2013. The final number comes out to 3,247 vehicles.
The specific cause of the recall is a faulty brake master cylinder. NHTSA says that in select Armadas and Titans, the cylinder may reduce the braking power of the vehicles’ front brakes. That could result to longer stop times and a heightened possibility of total brake failure.
The recall notices have been sent out to affected owners and they have been instructed to take vehicles to their local Nissan dealer, who will replace the master cylinder, free of charge.
