A Cleveland woman drove her Jeep through a driveway, crashed through a fence and ultimately landed in a pool after her brakes allegedly failed July 14th in Ohio.
The worst part is she wasn’t even invited to the party, this was just some random house that she decided to crash into. The pool hosts said the sound of the car smashing through the fence sounded like “a bomb going off” and literally scared the wits out of the 15 people who were in attendance.
After the Jeep made its ‘cannonball’ into the pool, party goers did their best to free the woman from the submerged cabin. But one man in particular, Chris Sanford, was able to physically pull the woman out of her vehicle as she had difficulty getting her seat belt off underwater.
Sanford successfully pulled Chapman out of the car and she was luckily uninjured. She blamed a malfunction in her vehicle’s brakes for this accident that took her barreling down a private driveway, through a fence and into a backyard pool of a private residence.
Unfortunately for her though, the faulty brakes weren’t her only problem. After Police arrived she was immediately given a breathalyzer and tested positive for DUI.
She is lucky that the accident wasn’t fatal, who knows what could of happened if somebody dove in the pool right when the car crashed through the fence.
The woman will be charged with Driving Under the Influence, failure to control and reckless driving.
