KUNMING, CHINA- The dead body of a Chinese speed racer has been left as a public eyesore in the middle of Kunming to serve as a symbol to deter speeders. The 28 year-old Tao Lung was racing his brand new Jaguar F-Type Sports Car on a residential street when a car pulled out it’s driveway causing the Jaguar to strike a curb and propel Lung out of his car, only to be instantly run over by his opponents car, who was later deemed missing.
When police arrived they did not cover up 28-year-old Tao Lung’s body, but left it exposed in full view of the crowd. The Daily Mail reported the corpse was left lying in the middle of the road for at least an hour in full view of pedestrians and other motorists, including children.
Those living in the area said they were fed up with people racing on the street, and warned police it was only a matter of time before there was an accident.
Do you think these actions were appropriate? Do the Chinese Police have the right to leave a dead corpse in the middle of the street?
