Some people think brakes are easy. And if they have done one brake job or rotor replacement, they can do them all. This is when mistakes are made. I found this video of a brute trying to remove a rotor on a late-model F150 2WD. He is wielding a ten pound sledge hammer like John Henry and he manages to crack the rotor.
Little does he know, this is the wrong way to remove the rotor and he has probably damaged the spindle, bearings and knuckle. The right way to remove this rotor by taking off the center nut. He would have know this if he would have looked at the service information. Also, a sledge hammer should never be used on a vehicle of this size.
