News out of Phillipsburg, New Jersey have developed in the last few days regarding one of the most cliche brake failures in eons. According to reports by The Express-Times, 30 year-old Phillipsburg native Melissa Woody was traveling down North Main Street in Washington, New Jersey when she realized her brakes had failed. In an attempt to halt the car, Woody pulled in to an empty parking lot and shot for a guardrail but succeeded to no avail. Alternatively, the vehicle plowed through a 40-foot tree line and came to rest right in the middle of the Belvidere Delaware Railroad tracks, officials say. Auspiciously, Woody preponderated unharmed and was fortunate enough to escape the clutches of death that so ominously loomed above her. Moral of the story here is to always get your brakes checked and have them regularly sustained. Maybe if Mrs. Woody read my articles on brake safety she could of easily avoided this detrimental mishap.
