Burning fat or burning rubber? Jenny Craig would be impressed by this crash.

A woman by the name of Minnie Gantzer was attempting to park her Ford Fusion at the Weight Watchers in Cincinnati when she accidentally mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal. This error resulted in her car to rapidly accelerate forward, and forced her car through the front of the store shattering the glass windows.

Looks like she bit off more than she could chew.

Gantzer and a customer in the store, Nancy Futrell, were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries following the crash.

At first, Furtell, who brought her 2 year old granddaughter with her to weigh in, thought the infant had been killed in the crash. Fortunately, she was unharmed.

An hour before, Weight Watchers management said they were hosting a meeting with about 40 customers. Talk about a close call!

Management said the store would remain closed through Wednesday so they could clean up the crash. Hopefully the cleanup is a piece of cake. 

Drugs or alcohol were not believe to be a factor in the crash. Gantzer was cited with failure to maintain reasonable control. I’d say it’s fat chance gets out of this one!
