A woman from Georgia crashed through the front of a local supermarket last Friday after experiencing a brake failure when attempting to park her 1998 Ford Explorer.
Eye witnesses recall their shopping being interrupted by a loud boom. There was chaos and confusion for a while, but luckily there was no injuries and minimal damage. If you count a 6 foot wide hole in the wall, minimal, that is.
Mechanics interviewed following the crash said they hoped other drivers would use this accident as a lesson to keep their vehicle properly taken care of.
Meanwhile at the affected grocery store, workers say they will serve their customers with or without a door. While it may take a while to restore the store, the manager Ramon Herrmann says every customer is a valued customer and as long as no one was seriously hurt no true harm was done, safety is most important.
