The Brakes For Breasts campaign is actively taking charge in the automotive aftermarket community by joining forces with local mom-and-pop automotive service centers all over the nation. This nationwide incentive offers customers of all companies involved to receive free brake pads and have pledged to donate 10% of all proceeds to finding a vaccine for breast cancer!
2013 marks the third year for the Breaks For Breasts fundraiser. It was launched in 2011 by two women, Leigh Anne Best of Mighty Auto Pro in Medina, and Laura Frank of Royal Car Care & Tire Center in Brunswick.
The Brakes For Breasts Fundraiser is different from many breast cancer fundraising campaigns which run during October, because funds raised by these independently-owned auto repair shops goes directly to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund. These donations specifically fund the research of a vaccine which will lead to a cure for breast cancer, not just treatments for the disease.
