Mario Siguenza: Safe Braking’s Philanthropist of the Year

marioMario Siguenza is SafeBraking.com‘s Philanthropist of the year for paying for the brake job of Chassidi Papa’s Toyota. Mario was standing behind Chassidi at the Brake Team location in Beaverton, ORE. She came in for the $88 brake special and she was told that it was going to cost a lot more. But, she could not pay.

Instead of letting her leave in an unsafe vehicle with four kids, Mario paid for the complete  brake job. This is the kind of news story I would rather see than one about a crash!

Good Samaritan pays to repair brakes for mom & 4 kids

BEAVERTON, Ore. – A stranger opened his wallet to help a family who needed a break Wednesday, or in this case, actually two brakes.

Chassidi Papas said she knew her brakes were going bad, so she went to a Beaverton mechanic’s shop to get them checked.

Turns out, the problem was even worse than she thought.

The brake pads and the rotor all needed to be replaced. She was told it would cost $200 and she did not have that much money.

But Papas said she desperately needed to get the brakes repaired so she could safely transport her four kids around.
