This is one of those crashes that makes you scratch your head and wonder what really happened. Last night, a woman in San Diego was driving up a hill when her brakes failed. She rolled backwards down the hill and hit a fire hydrant.

Why didn’t she hit the gas? Did the car stall and the brake booster stopped working? No emergency brake?
