This has to be the strangest freeway fatality of all time.

Freddy Gonzales was driving his truck northbound on State Road 8 in Texas when a brake drum fell of a vehicle going the other direction. They said it appeared he tried to avoid the drum, but was unsuccessful. State police said they have yet to identify the driver or the vehicle that the brake drum fell off of.

To remove a brake drum, the wheel has to be removed from the axle. I don’t understand how this could happen unless the drum loose in the back of a pickup truck.
