For the price of a new Fiat 500, Chevy Cruze, Kia Soul and even the Mazda 5, one can purchase just the brake pads for any new Audi R8, A6, A7 and A10 models off eBay. Yes, you read that right and unfortunately it’s the truth. By executing just a few simple keystrokes, an individual can feast their eyes on what could be the priciest set of brakes ever, exclusively shipped directly from Slovenia. After doing some research on the products, a few questions and concerns come to mind. Just a few of them being:
1) Why is the price of just the brakes 1/3 of the overall price of the car (A7, A6 and A10 only) ?
2) Why of all places, are these brakes are being sold out of Slovenia?
3) Most importantly, why are these being sold on eBay and not by retailers?
So far these questions remain unanswered and provide only little compensation for what Audi’s next move might be regarding these extremely expensive brake pads and where they’re coming from. When money is not an object, it can be hard to resist temptation from such beautiful cars. But when analyzing the facts and thinking rationally, 20k for just brake pads on a car is just too rich for this authors blood.
